Terms and Condition and Policies

1.) Programme Structure and Class Participation 

The Pilates programme will begin at a low level and will be advanced in stages depending on my fitness level. The mixed-level and intermediate/advanced classes will provide modifications that the participant can choose from depending on their fitness level. The instructor or participant can stop the exercise session at any time if the participant is seen to be experiencing any symptoms of fatigue or discomfort.

 

2.) Health and Safety Acknowledgment 

There exists the possibility of certain dangers when exercising.  These can include abnormal blood pressure, fainting, and irregular, fast or slow heart rhythm and in rare instances a heart attack, stroke or death.  Whilst every care will be taken, it is impossible to predict the body’s exact response to exercise and every effort will be made to minimise these risks by evaluation of preliminary information relating to the questionnaire and fitness by observation during exercise.

3.) Class Setting and Exercise Responsibility 

For class sessions, The Pilates programme has been put together to cover a more general plan and not specifically designed as a personal training plan for each individual participant. Therefore the programme of exercises should only be undertaken in a Pilates class.  Furthermore if the performance of any of the exercises outside the class then the participant do so at their own risk.

4.) Liability Waiver

Christina Reilly, The Pilates Community, or their authorised agents will not be liable for injuries sustained: 

- While performing Pilates exercises outside a Pilates class;
- While perfroming Pilates exercises not in accordance with the instruction given by you or your duly authorised agent; and/or 
- Performing Pilates exercises if the participant is suffering from an injury or ailment of which the instructor has not been informed of.

5.) Attendance and Cancellation Policy 

The participant must inform the Pilates instructor if they are unable to attend a Pilates class. A FULL refund can only be given to those that:

A.) Book via the drop-in option AND inform the pilates instructor that they wont be attending at least 24 hours in advance.

B.) Book the full block and have sustained an injury outside of class that prevents further participantion. A GP letter or written confirmation from a healthcare professional must be provided.

If the participant has made a booking via the drop-in option AND informed the Pilates Instructor that they wont be attending at least 24 hours in advance, are eligible to change my booking to a later date pending class availability.

6.) Credit Policy

As of June 12th 2025, credit will no longer be issued for missed classes or cancellations. Any class or block credit issued must be used within 12 months of the issue date. After this period, unused credit will expire and cannot be redeemed. it is the responsibility of the participant to track and use their credit within the stated timeframe. No extensions or exceptions will be granted for expired credits. No credit is given to those that have booked the full block and have given 24 hours notice to missing a class, see section 5.B for exception. Price deductions will not be given for any 8 week block if the participant will be missing classes. No credit is given for missed classes or cancellations for any  8 week block.

7.) Screening form​

Prior to class the participant will be sent an email containing class info and a screening form. It is mandatory to complete this screening form prior to taking part in class. The screening form is for the safety of the participant.
